Mental Wellness 101 –
Tools for Educators
Educators need mental wellness strategies for themselves and the classroom. Through Mental Wellness 101 for Educators, The HAVE Foundation trains educators on wellness interventions that can be used daily in the classroom to boost student achievement and support student emotional regulation.
Sound Mind Faith Based Therapy
Sound Mind Faith-Based Therapy is one of The HAVE Foundation’s responses to the need for therapy and mental wellness education in the black and brown community. For many African-Americans, the church has been the bedrock of healing, resources, rejuvenation, and support. However, many churches are not equipped to offer therapy and counseling services for those with mental illnesses. We’re here to help.
Community Education
Educating the community about mental health and wellness is an integral part of our mission. Through our education programs and resources that reach thousands of SoCAL residents each year, The HAVE Foundation seeks to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and mental illness and open the conversation about what needs to be done to prioritize mental health treatment and support.
Portraits of Purpose
Portraits of Purpose is a teen support initiative that focuses on conflict management, coping skills, and building self-esteem through a variety of activities. Teens explore their current views about themselves and identify more adaptive ways of dealing with teen issues.
